A qualified workforce is critical to the success of any manufacturer. Fortunately, there are a lot of organizations working on this challenge. Understandably, educational organizations like the technical high schools and community colleges, have the most visibility. Larger state-wide organizations like CCAT are also providing valuable resources. However, the providers often overlooked are the industry associations.
One organization that is looking to grow the pool of qualified workers is PMA (Precision Metalforming Association). PMA is sponsoring a “test your metalforming skills” contest.
They also offer a series of technical seminars to help gain the knowledge and competencies needed to succeed.
