A recent post by IndustryNet, shows a very promising view of manufacturing. In spite of the pandemic, manufacturing grew in 2020. This growth was due in part to a stronger than expected output at the end of the year. Manufacturing was one of the few industries to add jobs. This was throughout all market segments with the exception of two.
The growth in December was unprecedented. In fact, the sector experienced the largest growth in two years. Not only were new orders and production up in December, but employment rose to the point of expansion. Workforce continues to be a key issue for manufacturing.
