Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) – MetalForming LIVE: Optimizing Press-Stroke Rate (strokes/min.) Without Investing a Lot of Money!
July 27, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm EDT
3-Part Online Event | July 13, 20 and 27
This summer, the pages of MetalForming magazine come to life via a three-part online event: MetalForming LIVE. Tune in for free to hear MetalForming’s three expert columnists, Pete Ulintz, Danny Schaeffler, Ph.D., and Eren Billur, Ph.D, host 90-min. roundtable discussions on three topics of critical importance to metal formers. The topics: newer materials, progressive-die simulation and press-stroke optimization. They’ll be joined on the online stage by metal formers dispensing their expertise gleaned from extensive experience with the chosen topics. And, attendees can participate in lively Q&A discussions.
Part 3 of 3: July 27
Technical Director, Precision Metalforming Association Long-time tooling and stamping professional, Pete Ulintz, leads the discussion on this topic. He’ll detail ways that metal stampers can leverage opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency without investing a lot of money in new capital equipment. Then, our expert panel will share their tips. During this session, you’ll learn:
- How to better understand, and take advantage of, actual transfer-system and press capacity
- How to optimize your transfer-system motion curves
- How to optimize progressive-die performance through coil-line synchronization/feed timing, pilot-release timing, etc.
Guest Panelist: David Diaz-Infante, Servo Press Scientist, Nidec Press & Automation
